The core principles that drive everything we do at Trace
Performance feedback should be instantaneous. We eliminate the gap between action and understanding so athletes can improve in real-time.
Built by someone who understands the coaching reality. Every feature is designed to give coaches more time for what matters: developing athletes.
10% of profits support sports access programs. We're committed to ensuring the next generation has the same opportunities we did.
I am a coach, an athlete, and an engineer from the Pacific Northwest. I built Trace because I saw firsthand how much time was being stolen from athletes and mentors by manual data entry. I've spent too much time renaming files and sorting clips when I should have been on the hill or in the video room helping athletes find their edge.
I believe the time between an athlete's performance and their understanding of it should be zero.
With a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from USC and a professional background as a software engineer specializing in GenAI, I realized I could build the solution our community needed. Trace handles the logistics automatically so coaches can get back to coaching and athletes can own their progress.
The name Trace represents the perfect 'line' we all search for and the digital trace our AI uses to organize every run. It is also a tribute to my mother, Tracy (Trace), who has always been my biggest supporter.

Beyond the software, I want to ensure the next generation of athletes has the same opportunities I did. That's why Trace pledges 10% of our profits to support sports access. We're here to make the work easier for coaches and the path clearer for athletes.
Experience the difference when technology serves coaching, not the other way around.
